Model Maker, Manager: Models and Prototypes
As a model maker, drafted parts in CAD/CAM from 3D and 2D files or written/verbal instructions, and used CNC machinery, shop equipment, 3d printers, thermo-formers, RTV molding, HVLP painting equipment etc. to make presentation models, functional prototypes, and retail environment components.
As the Shop Manager, directed a staff of up to 6 model makers and dozens of vendors. Quoted and scheduled project work, often in excess of $100K. Purchased fabrication equipment and supplies for the entire company, managed the proper disposal of hazardous waste and adherence to paint booth operation and dust management regulations.
